Our new show

Let’s talk plants!

PLANTPOP is making a weekly web show. Here what makes it special:

  • Filmed at a real, working nursery

  • Hosted by Kendahl Huber (Marvelous Horticulturist) and Art Parkerson (PLANTPOP’s check-writer)

  • 20 to 30 minutes long

  • No ads. No third-party sponsor.

  • We just talk about plants

  • Well, mostly ornamental horticulture

Why make a show?

We want to talk about plants! We want to share what we’re doing with the world: gorgeous plants, amazing films and some really fun, creative projects. As you may know, we’ve been making short documentary films about interesting people doing cool things with plants for over five years, but we haven’t spoken much about it. It’s time we got to know each other better. We have so many things in store for PLANTPOP. We want you to be a part of our future! So, you’re invited to join us on our show.

Audience participation is required!

Our Plant! Show is only going to work if you help us out. Please, send us photos, links and videos for us to review and feature on the show. What are we looking for? Here are a few of the (planned) segments of the show:

  • FARM WORK: 1-minute long videos of horticultural work getting done (planting, propagating, pruning, etc.) Have your nursery or landscape company featured on our show!

  • GOOD, BAD + UGLY: photos of plants, landscapes and anything plant-related that we can all ooh and ahh over…or mercilessly tear to shreds.

  • (PLANT)POP CULTURE: You and your loved ones are watching a drama set in Victorian England. Suddenly, the main character walks past a KnockOut Rose. “Wait a minute!” If you see plants make an appearance in pop culture, let us know about it so we can share! What are we looking for? Ads, music videos, TV shows, movies, magazines, websites, got it?

If you send us something (and we use it in the show), then we’ll send you a gift. What will you get? Probably a T-shirt (which we sell for $25 in our store).

Click here to send us a photo (or a comment)!

Thanks!
